Welcome
The priority of OAHHS, along with all of our member hospitals, is for the best health outcomes for the patients we serve through the delivery of high quality care.
Educational opportunities are rich in content and varied in format. We use these opportunities to discuss evidence based practice and share best practices occurring in our state and in the nation. The association's quality and education agenda is driven from the current strategic plan.

New OAHHS Safe Table
Efforts are underway to launch the MDRO Safe Table this fall. This Safe Table will represent a collaborative effort between Oregon APIC (Association for Professionals in Infection Control), Acumentra Health, and the Patient Safety Commission. Efforts for this project will build on a foundation of hand hygiene compliance (OAHHS Hand Hygiene Program) and expand to encompass best practice around the cleaning of patient rooms and contact precautions. Hospital staff will be invited to help establish consensus for standardized practice in Oregon and to develop a tool kit for member hospitals. The structure of the tool kit is being created now by an advisory group and will include current recommendations on:
- Hospital Infection Control Risk Assessment
- Hand Hygiene
- Environmental Cleaning
- Contact Precautions
- Patient Education
- Staff/Provider Education
- Antibiotic Stewardship
